Ripon, Wis. - July 18, 2011 - Speed Queen, a
leading provider of coin laundry equipment, is pleased to announce
that William Bittner, the brand's North American sales manager, has
been elected to the join the Coin Laundry Association's board of
directors.
Bittner will begin serving his two-year term in January. The CLA
board of directors is the policy-making and decision-making body of
the organization. The board represents the entire membership in
guiding the activities and goals of the association. The board is
comprised exclusively of volunteers from within the industry who
donate their time and expertise to the benefit of the industry.
"I look forward to working with the CLA board of directors on
finding ways to continually improve the programs and initiatives
offered to members with the primary goal of strengthening our
industry as a whole," Bittner said.
Bittner has been actively involved with the CLA since April
2007. However, Alliance Laundry Systems has had representation on
the board dating back to the 1960s, said Brian Wallace, president
and chief executive officer of the CLA.
"We're very happy that Bill will be joining our board and
continuing the representation Alliance Laundry Systems has had for
so many years," Wallace said. "We believe Bill will have great
insights into the needs of laundry distributors and store owners,
and we are excited about his future contributions."
