In the May/June issue of "Defense Communities," Kate Holmes, Government and Contract Sales Manager at Alliance Laundry Systems, authors a column discussing the benefits of upgraded laundry equipment on military bases. She states that newer Speed Queen top-load washing machines can be up to 50 percent more energy efficient than older, traditional machines-resulting in major energy savings. Along with energy savings, the construction of the machines is important to consider before purchasing.
