Craig Dakauskas, vice president of sales at Commercial Laundry Equipment Co. Inc. (CLEC) is featured as a contributing columnist in a recent edition of American Coin-Op as well as the magazine’s Web site.

In his column, “Is it Time for a Vend Increase?” Dakauskas explores how owners of vended laundries should approach this question.

“Take a long look at your store, because jumping into the vend-price-increase pool can have an unintended ripple effect of losing precious customers,” Dakauskas writes, adding that upgrading equipment, particularly now with federal tax incentives in place, could be a better option than just hiking prices.

Dakauskas is a veteran of the laundry industry and served as Speed Queen national sales manager before joining CLEC, a full service Speed Queen distributor based in Gulf Breeze, Fla.
