Among the highlights of Speed Queen's 2007 Clean Show booth was its new A-Micro control for SC model washer-extractors. This inverter-drive, high G-force machine is designed to increase profits for coin laundry owners.
The A-Micro control, offered on variable speed SC washer-extractors, increases the extraction speed to 140 G-force, compared to roughly 83 on most current models. It also offers savings in water usage.
"Vended laundry owners constantly are looking for ways to curb costs; Speed Queen's new A-Micro controlled washer-extractor answers their call," said Bill Bittner, national sales manager of Speed Queen commercial. "High extraction speeds will help reduce drying times, while the A-Micro also is water efficient."
The control features six, highly efficient preset cycles that conserve water. Savings can be as high as 55 percent, compared to older fixed-cycle models. Extra wash and rinse keys enable customers to tailor their wash and allow owners additional revenue potential. Speed Queen’s A-Micro also has time-of-day pricing capabilities
The A-Micro is available for SC 20-, 30-, 40-, 60- and 80-pound models.
