Alliance Laundry System announced recently it tapped William Bittner to lead its Speed Queen brand as national sales manager. Bittner will oversee United States sales of Speed Queen commercial equipment for vended laundries as well as the on-premises market.

"Bill possess excellent product and brand knowledge and was a natural fit to lead Speed Queen's commercial sales force," said Jeff Brothers, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Alliance Laundry Systems. "We're expecting Bill to continue to bolster Speed Queen’s position as an industry leader."

Bittner has been with Alliance Laundry Systems since 1998. He worked as director of materials from 1998 to 2001, before being named general manager of service parts.

"I'm looking forward to building on the strategies and themes that have made Speed Queen successful; in short, our passion to lead," Bittner said. "Leadership isn't about meeting expectations, it's exceeding them."

Bittner said he plans on working closely with Speed Queen distributors to gain a better understanding of their markets and customers. In addition, he's excited about celebrating the brand's 100th anniversary in 2008.
